Organizational Structure Roles
Research Center Director
  • Oversees internal and external operations of the research center
Research and Development Department
  • Conducts demand assessments, project intake, and operational management for industry-academia collaborations
  • Plans and develops joint R&D initiatives in intelligent technologies, such as IoT/5G networks, Cloud/Big Data, AI software (machine learning, algorithms), computing, and cyber security
  • Supports R&D for AI+X projects tailored to the Southeast region’s industries
Project Planning Department
  • Facilitates partnerships and manages collaboration outcomes with key organizations and groups
  • Manages the Regional AI Talent Development Council to identify AI talent meeting industry demands
  • Manages AI workforce programs for IT/SW professionals in the region
  • Implements AI training programs tailored to industry needs and manages participant data
  • Supports human resource management for program participants, including trainees and graduates
Administrative Support Department
  • Oversees research grant management, expenditure processing, and procurement of essential supplies
  • Supports curriculum and operational needs for the Master's and Doctoral programs for working professionals

  • Promotes specially designed training programs to develop practical AI skills for professionals at IT/SW companies

Collaborative Research Partner

  • Facilitates sub-project initiatives and fosters collaboration networks with local businesses
  • Showcases the center's achievements through AI exhibitions and builds a framework for collaboration with regional companies
  • Organizes AI competitions to identify emerging talent
Operating Committee
  • Serves as the deliberative and decision-making body for major operational issues and graduate curriculum adjustments
  • Comprises faculty from sub-projects, staff from partner institutions, and principal investigators from lead organizations
  • Discusses key center matters, including the operation of specific programs to boost regional industries and budget deliberations
Regional AI Talent Development Council
  • Forms the Regional AI Talent Development Council and establishes a talent development partnership with local businesses
  • Responsible for promoting the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence through various channels (e.g., website, bulletin boards, group chats, SNS, YouTube channel).
Performance Management Committee
  • Establishes a systematic framework to evaluate and enhance project outcomes, including goal setting, development, performance review, and execution adjustments
  • Performs regular self-assessments to monitor project performance and determine research funding adjustments, eligibility, and stipends
  • Advises the center on evaluation and improvement measures based on quantitative outputs (e.g., technology transfer, patents, papers)
Additional Support Big Data AI Center
  • Provides technical assistance and support to resolve challenges for companies adopting and developing AI technologies
  • Builds a regional industry-academia-research data sharing platform and supports AI convergence technologies, including data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and visualization
